Big portions of mainstream American fare, served up in a convivial, family atmosphere.. In Short A low-key, friendly environment attracts plenty of families to this reliable chain. Kids in the big booths--often clutching free balloons and crayons--usually outnumber adults sitting at the bar. The menu offers filling American fare with no surprises, from mozzarella sticks and nachos to rollups and burgers. Entrees include steaks, fajitas and main dish salads. The calorie-conscious can select from a list of Weight Watchers-inspired dishes like mesquite chicken salad and grilled tilapia with mango salsa.
Nice Ambiance; Bad Food.
Another chain restaurant that ships in frozen food which ends up below average. I like the Applebee's atmosphere but the food is simply not very good and the portions average. I guess being from New Orleans has spoiled me because I rarely would eat at chains like these. Very average service. As far as Weight Watchers, Atkins, or whatever items they offer for these programs, the chains simply cut out the carbs and replace them with mammouth amounts of sodium. I had the Bourbon Street steak. Throw a bunch of spices on an average cut of meat and call it Bourbon Street.
